ELECTION OF GOVERNING COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Under the terms of the constitution, Trustees retire in rotation so that one third of the Governing Committee is subject to the selection process each subsequent year. This process is resolved from the votes cast for each nominee at the AGM. For this reason, there will be four places available for election this year. The society’s Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary are elected annually and therefore there may be more positions available, should our current trustees not be elected to fill these roles.
All nominations for the above positions must be in accordance with the constitution and have a proposer and a seconder. Nominations must be in the hands of the Secretary (Claire Egerton) not less than 14 or more than 35 clear days before the AGM takes place.
In addition to the above, Honorary Auditors will be elected on the night.
Please note that all nominees must be 16 years of age or over, and be fully paid up members of the society, as should the members who are making and seconding the nominees.
A form suitable for this purpose is available from the Secretary (Claire Egerton) or Chairman (Lee Brennan). All completed forms must be handed to the Secretary prior to the 15th June 2017.
We hope to see you on 29th June!
